Hi Ken!

Thank you so much for sharing this valauble Info from Dr. Jadin.
I have several questions about it.

Does she just pulse these combinations for a year or longer, without any consideration of the effect? What does she do if a combination causes a worsening of symptoms? Is this just ignored?

Is she at all looking at the coagulation component of these infections? I feell that the coagulation should be treated at the same time with the microbiome.

I’ve done two microbiome tests and am using the recommendations from your site.
I though I could go through my list and check for bacteriostatic and bacteriocidal antibiotics so I can mimic Dr. Jadin’s protocol.
Unfortunately all my antibiotic recs are bactericidal (the ones higher on the list).

So does this mean I should just pulse through the bactericidals on my list – one by one- and then repeat microbiome testing in between?

Is Dr. Jadin open to combine her protocols with the microbiome tests? I guess that would be the optimal scenario.

  My impressions are
  * She attempts to minimize side effects by giving the microbiome time to recover between each course of antibiotics
  * The course is only 7 days, if there is an immediate issue then she would stop. Remember, next month it will be different ones.
  * She is not looking at the coagulation aspect. Personally, I view the coagulation aspect as being a side-effect of the microbiome issues. If you reduce coagulation, you increase oxygen levels in the blood which impacts bacteria — many are very sensitive to oxygen levels.
  
  IMHO, Dr. Jadin is open – remember she is a surgeon who is applying a “hand down protocol”. She is not a research scientist. The absence of bacteriostatic is interesting and I may annotate those antibiotics on the site soon.

Just want to touch on the topic of coagulation again.
I do get your point, that when we correct the microbiome, the hypercoagulation should be corrected too.

I’m wondering if that is a very linear simplistic view (I am open to being corrected though), because:

1) I’ve seen many Long Covid folks with all sorts of comorbidities and issues, that I would say are probably caused by hypercoagulation and microclots. I would say, that some ppl just don’t have time for a year or more of antibiotics, that the coagulation aspect needs to be treated simultaneously. Maybe it even brings a higher chance of remission?!

2) If the chance is high, that we are genetically predisposed to hypercoagulation, shouldn’t that be treated anyway? even when trying to correct the microbiome.

3) There was an analysis post you did on a person with severe POTS, but their microbime tests had no markers that would suggest that. I though to myself: maybe the POTS we sometimes have in LC and CFS is not your standard microbiome shift, but stems from the inflamed endothelium, where the spike protein docks etc. This for me is another indicator, that maybe we must tackle both problems simultanously if we want to beat this thing.

I’m thinking out of the box here, but it might be interesting, to try and connect Dr. Jadin und Dr. Resia Pretorius (she is the one that discovered miroclots and keeps researching tons on coagulation). They both live in South Africa after all.

  For me the coagulation dimension is very significant for some. Coagulation is outside of Dr. Jadin’s expertise — she is a surgeon and noit a researcher. For myself, I went both paths concurrently in 2000 — working directly with Dave Berg.
  
  Prompt treatment of the coagulation aspect (when present) is essential — the problem is the same frustration that Jadin has — a lack of suitable tests being available. Dave Berg ran a specialized lab dealing only with coagulation (and hard cases).
  
  I view Jadin as the best clinical expertise of using antibiotics. Berg has retired and his lab was acquired by others. I do not know of any clinical coagulation expert for ME/CFS or Long COVID.
  
  I would say that most ME/CFS are likely to be genetically predisposed to hypercoagulation, but the issue may only arise from epigenetic changes. Treatment for hypercoagulation depends on the nature of each persons. For myself, my genetic tests with Berg found a g20210a mutation – if it becomes a problem, I just start taking Piracetam [I’m lucky].   I agree with your comment on 3). It is best if have willing MD and insurance to do all of the needed testing and willing to prescribe appropriate treatment. The reality for most ME/CFS people is very different.
